Securitron Magnalocks and Power Supplies
Electromagnetic Locks (Magnalock)
Securitron manufactured the first electromagnetic lock and continues to lead the industry with the Magnalock series. These devices feature a fully sealed, solid-state construction that makes them impervious to water, rust, and physical abuse. The design contains no moving parts, eliminating mechanical wear and reducing long-term maintenance costs. The Magnalock line includes models with holding forces ranging from 600 to 1,200 pounds, suitable for both interior traffic control and high-security perimeter doors. Most units come standard with automatic dual-voltage sensing for 12VDC or 24VDC applications.
Access Control Power Supplies
Securitron manufacturers linear and switching power supplies specifically engineered for electronic locking systems. The BPS and AccuPower series provide regulated 12VDC or 24VDC output to drive maglocks, electric strikes, and proximity readers. These units feature integrated battery charging circuits that maintain system operation during AC power failures. The boards also include Fire Alarm Interface (FAI) inputs that automatically disconnect power to fail-safe hardware when the building alarm is triggered, enabling immediate egress.
Request to Exit (REX) Devices
Securitron manufacturers egress initiation devices required for doors equipped with fail-safe electromagnetic locks. The product line includes the Touch Sense Bar (TSB), which releases the magnet immediately when a user touches the hardware, eliminating the need for mechanical latches. For hands-free exit, XMS motion sensors use Passive Infrared (PIR) technology to power off the lock as a person approaches. The catalog also features pneumatic and electronic push buttons designed for manual release and emergency override applications.
