GrainTech Stainable Steel Doors

The Steelcraft GrainTech series creates the appearance of architectural wood veneer on a hollow metal substrate. These doors feature an exclusive wood-grain embossment and a factory-applied stainable primer that accepts standard wood stains and clear coats. This technology allows the door to match the surrounding millwork and trim while delivering the 3-hour fire rating and impact resistance of steel. Available grain patterns include Ash, Birch, Mahogany, Maple, Oak, and Walnut, making them a practical solution for executive offices and historical renovations where real wood may be cost-prohibitive or code-restricted.

Paladin Tornado Resistant Assemblies

The Steelcraft Paladin series is engineered to protect occupants during severe weather events, including EF5 tornadoes and hurricanes. These assemblies satisfy the rigorous testing requirements of FEMA 361 and ICC 500 for community safe rooms and storm shelters. The internal steel stiffeners and heavy-gauge skins enable the door to withstand wind-borne debris at high velocities without structural failure. Schools and emergency operations centers utilize these units to create designated safety zones that maintain the aesthetic of a standard commercial opening.
